UTV Ireland

UTV Ireland

The new home of UTV Ireland was completed in 2014 with a value of over €2m, this project incorporates TV studios, edit suites, newsrooms, conferencing rooms, green room, tea station facilities and director offices all within a fully exposed double height space.

Challenges

The main challenge of the project was how to integrate the Building Services installation to serve the TV studios & newsroom within the existing Building structure where limited external plant space was available.

Successes

This project demonstrated how a high quality exposed services project can be achieved in a corporate TV studio where the office backdrop was viewed daily on National television.

Metec Solutions

Metec employed low velocity ventilation solutions within the studios & support office areas given the noise criteria for these technical spaces and the final Design reflected the CGI's that were presented to the client at project inception.
