The project consisted of 4 floors over a common basement and linked to the existing school campus buildings.
Working in a live school campus, working over a live multi-storey basement car park building was abutting and connecting to a listed building and services penetrations and co-ordination of same were of paramount concern. Maximizing energy efficiency on a multi-storey building on a small footprint.
The building was completed on time and within budget. Testament to the success of the project was the level of detailed co-ordination undertaken by both the Design & Construction Team during the Covid-19 lockdown period which resulted in the seamless deployment of the Building Services Installation when construction activities resumed after the Government imposed lockdown.
The M&E utilised the most energy efficient and best coefficient of performance equipment to meet with the rigorous criteria set out by the Base Build LEED & Energy Rating requirements. Intelligent lighting solutions used to improve energy efficiency in this transient building. The rooftop area utilizes both Photovoltaics and a green roof to assist in both LEED and BER requirements.
