Mountpark Logistics Baldonnell

This large logistics campus was purpose-built on a challenging greenfield site for Mountpark to service the Dublin area. Metec provided services design for the site infrastructure serving Unit A (11.087 sq.m.) Unit B (16,350 sq.m.) Unit C (11,492 sq.m.) & Unit D (7,865 sq.m.) and the Electrical, Gas & Telecoms Utility connections serving Units E & F. The Metec scope also included the reviews of the Unit A & B Design + Build installations on behalf of the client to ensure compliance with building standards & NZEB.

Challenges

Design of the site services infrastructure and external lighting services serving the park to ensure that they did not adversely affect the operation of the adjoining Baldonnell Aerodrome.

Successes

Units A & B were fully let before construction was completed & the design of the remaining Park was accelerated given the level of interest expressed for this development.

Given the scale & power requirements for this development there was early engagement with the utility providers to ensure that the site services infrastructures were futureproofed for requirement to include diverse supply routes where possible.
