Chancery Hotel

This 151-bedroom hotel is currently on site, designed with Revit/BIM, using Thermal and NZEB Modelling with an M&E value in excess of €5m.

Challenges

Designing M&E Services for a tight urban site with only road frontage on one side provided many challenges, solved through designing with Revit/BIM for millimetre accuracy.

Successes

Designing through Revit/BIM for accurate co-ordinated design, ease of future maintenance through tagging of every single mechanical& electrical plant item.

Metec Solutions

TV & Comms Installation, delivering 1 GB capability. Primary Electrical Services throughout the hotel and VRF Fan Coil systems added to each bedroom. LED lighting throughout delivered to 2600K colour temperature for mood setting.

Electrical Services

• New Generator, New Main Distribution Board and Sub Distribution Board throughout Hotel.
• New Comms installation throughout Hotel, new Digital TV system.
• General Services to each bedroom, including LED lighting throughout bedrooms.
• Full Life Safety Systems to front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
• Integration with Public Realm Works to enhance Entrance and kerb side check-in.

Mechanical Services

• New VRF Heating/Cooling Systems, new Air-Water Heat Pump NZEB Hot Water Solution.
• Full Conditioning to Common Areas, including full fresh-air Ventilation to combat Covid.
• Passive Smoke Extract Ducting to all sub-terranean areas.
• Rainwater Harvesting.
• Gym & Spa Facilities.
