This project involved the partial strip-out and refurbishment of the listed building the former Richmond Hospital / Courts building to form the new Education, Training and Conference Facility for the INMO on North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7.
This project involved the installation of new Energy efficient Building Services solutions (including LED Lighting & Automatic Lighting Controls) required a high level of co-ordination with the existing protected building fabric & finishes.
The Richmond Hospital project was an example at how a protected building can be adapted into a modern education & conference facility whilst repecting & preserving the existing listed features.
The HVAC solution for the large teaching & conference spaces (which were formally Hospital wards) utilised the existing passive ventilation ducts from roof level energy efficient air handling plant c/w both heating & cooling apabilities were added to condition said spaces.
