The challenges we faced on this 500,000sq ft. commercial project was to meet the clients brief of LEED/BREAAM/WELL/Wiredscore and A rated BER certification and to ensure that both blocks had the flexibility for the multitude of possible letting scenarios ranging from a campus wide letting to a quarter floor letting. NZEB compliance was also a requirement in line with the latest Part L Regulations.
The project is now well into construction and the significant pre construction co-ordination and detailing carried out in Revit is reaping benefits with the onsite construction team. The project is also on target to achieve all of the clients sustainability goals. Metec also modelled and advised the client on the internal daylighting requirements to ensure that 2% is being achieved on all floors including the lower ground floors.
