Challenges

The fit out needed to comply with the base build LEED platinum requirements so a focus on sustainability and ensuring the equipment supplied was best in class was key. The existing space inherited was a mixture of CAT A and grey box so the surveys and validation of the existing services was a crucial part of our scheme design. The fit out is in a multi tenanted building so avoiding disruption to the other tenants in the building was essential. The end user was the OPW so we had to have a close working relationship with their design teams to ensure whilst meeting our clients brief we met and exceeded the OPW standards.

Successes

The project was handed over during the turbulent Covid period and to achieve this it required all design and construction teams to safely navigate their way through the project whilst adhering to government guidelines. The project complies with all of the building sustainability requirements and met and exceeded the objectives of our client and the OPW.
