It was when I was studying for my Degree in Building Services Engineering at DIT Bolton Street that I developed my interest in building performance modelling and sustainable development. Working in a number of consultancies in Ireland and the UK, I have been able to expand my project expertise in this field across several sectors including commercial, retail, leisure and residential.

In my role as Head of Sustainability and Senior Sustainability Engineer at Metec, I work with clients and design teams to oversee and deliver on sustainability and ESG objectives. The projects where my expertise in this area have really been brought to bear include 1 George's Quay, Cumberland House (Twitter), AIB HQ Molesworth Street, and Farranlea Student Accommodation in Cork.

Who am I?

Rugby is my passion. I have represented my local club, Greystones RFC, at all levels from Senior to Junior 4. A recent highlight was winning a Leinster Metro League with a team largely made up of friends who I started playing with at underage level. I’ve taken a break from playing rugby for the moment to focus on raising two young boys with my wife. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, snorkelling, and going to the gym.
