Michelle Kelly

Mechanical Engineer

I have over 20 years’ experience working in the construction industry, beginning my career as an AutoCAD Technician, working on both Mechanical and Electrical design construction and record drawings. In 2002, I returned to education to study Building Services Engineering in Bolton Street, graduating in 2007.

I have worked on a wide range of projects, all over Ireland including Health Care, Commercial Office Buildings, Shopping Centres and the refurbishment of an 1870’s Castle in Co. Wicklow. I also spent time working on projects in other European Countries including Germany and the Netherlands.

I joined Metec in 2016 as a mechanical engineer, have recently qualified as a Fitwel Ambassador and  WELL AP. I have a keen interest in advancing human health and wellness in buildings and communities.

Who am I?

I am a mother to two little girls and  actively involved in their local LGFA and Camogie clubs, acting as Children’s Officer in both clubs. In 2018, I joined my local Community First Responders Group assisting with Pre-Hospital Emergency Care when called upon in the community.

I enjoy running, reading fictional crime novels, watching movies and spending time with my family. In particular, I like to travel with my family, exploring new locations, trying local produce and rejuvenating in the sun!
